Originally opened in August 2008 (just before the recession kicked in!) On Yer
Bike is a sales and service bicycle shop, located in Prospect Hill, next door
to Prospect Hill Launderette - though they do have a big sign beside
carpark a few doors down the road.
The offer new bicycles (including assembly and safety checks), manual to
electric bike conversions, and bicycle mechanic services- as well as rentals
and sales of second-hand bikes. They're had a moment of fame a few
years ago for for refusing to open during Race Week, because they got sick of
people "renting" bicycles and not returning them - now they just call it an
annual holiday.
The buisness was originally opened by Derrick Regan with shops in
Craughwell and then Galway city, as well as a mobile repair service.
Sadly Derrick died in October 2020, but the Prospect Hill store continued
under new management.
