Update - April 2023
Wishbone have been closed on Monday / Tuesday and often at lunchtime since Christmas. In late March 2023, they posted on on social media that they would be closed for maintenance for a day - and they have not been open since.

The first Galway city branch of this Dublin-based chicken (and cauliflower!) restaurant chain opened in mid-September 2022.They're on the ground floor of the Eglinton Court building, on the corner of Eglinton Street and Daly's Place (the very small road that leads to Woodquay), in the unit which used to be American-themed burger joint Rockin' Joes and before that was Eddie Rockets, next door to Cafe Roscoe and around the corner from McSwiggans.
The place has been given a full make-over, with nothing left of the previous diner vibe and not a booth in sight.
The opening menu is straightforward: chicken wings, tenders, burger, bites and even waffles with maple syrup - and cauliflower bites. The sauce selection includes buffalo, chili jam, mayo, chipotle and more. There are also sides of various types of fried, onion rings and poppers. And a dessert selection. Drinks feature Five Lamps beer.
