Officially called Wholly Cow of An Grianan Geal, this Newcastle Road based eatery, which opened in 2017, is the 21st century version of a burger joint. It's located in the takeaway strip across from the main entrance to Galway hospital, just down the road from the University.
Outdoor seating was a feature from opening day, and became especially valuable in the post-Covid period.
The goal is to be zero-waste, fully sustainable, family owned and serve locally produced food. The menu is what it says on the label: hamburgrs (made of beef, of course!) in all their glory, plus a chickpea burger with beefsteak tomatoes.
