Magpie Bakery

This new sourdough bakery/cafe, also offering croissants and pastries and Calendar coffee from Oughterard, and using ingredients from a range of other local and Irish suppliers, opened on Friday 26 May 2023.

They're in unit 12 of the The Cornstore building in Cross Street, with a back entry (staff only) in St. Augustine street. This is the unit with a cute mezzanine floor, which was most recently Cafe Temple. This time around, the customer seating is all in the Cornstore mall, and the mezzanine and lower floors are totally devoted the to baking.

Closed Monday and Tuesday, open from Wednesday to Saturday 8:30am - 3pm, and Sunday 10am - 3pm - but they tend to sell out quite quickly so don't be looking for many pastries much after 2pm.
