What's open on New Year's Day 2025

New Year's Day, 1 January, is a public holiday in Ireland.  

Most pubs are open.  Some cafes are, too.   But many places in Galway choose not to open on New Year's Day.  However some shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs do open.  

So this is a list of places which are open in Galway city-centre on New Year's Day in 2025:  it is a work-in-progress, and will be live-updated on the day.
